| Why You Should Eat Slowly & ENJOY! |
|
Two of the most important tips I could tell you is to eat slowly and savour every bite. By eating slower you are giving your digestive system more time to digest the food so you will feel less hungry afterward and therefore less likely to over eat. (It takes awhile for the food you just ate to make you to feel full!) Often times people do not completely chew their food before they swallow it. This puts more strain on your digestive system; it is harder for the food to completely digest, and less nutrients will be absorbed by the body when it is forced to hurry up. The concept of enjoying food goes hand in hand with eating slowly. Eat slowly and savour every bite thats in your mouth. Eating can be pleasurable and sociable. You are also less likely to eat more than you need if you are really, truly satisfied with a meal. Rocket science, isn't it? One last important tip: Don't feel guilty for treating yourself. We all love and deserve the occasional treat! I love chocolate myself! Written by CJ H, Dec 23 2007. Last updated Dec 23 2007. |
